It is well-known that tools and dies are the essence of industrial manufacturing, as in the case of Thailand they play a supportive role to other industries such as the automobile industry, electrical appliances industry, electronics industry, and so on. It is, therefore, necessary to perpetually develop the industry to meet with the striking growth of the demand both at home and abroad as well as to keep pace with modern production technology. Thai Tool and Die Industry Forum was formed in 1989 and was subsequently upgraded to become the Thai Tool and Die Industry Association in 1992, with the aim to be a core center for Mould and Die Industry. Now TDIA has about 500 members and a Board of Directors which is comprised of 15 people.
